DESCRIPTION:An extraordinary exhibition that unites an international artist like Antonio Ligabue and Sorrento. From 5 August to 16 November 2024 the rooms of Villa Fiorentino will host the exhibition which presents itself as an anthology which allows the public to engage with works created throughout the creative life of a rebellious but brilliant\, restless and visionary artist\, who is now a true myth of twentieth century art.\n\nThe exhibition celebrates a great expressionist\, one of the protagonists of Italian art of the 20th century.\n\n \n\nThe exhibition presents 67 works: 52 of his famous oils\, including masterpieces such as Tiger's Head (1956)\, Leopard on the Rock (1960)\, Black Widow (1955)\, Eagle with Fox (1944)\, Wildcat with Kite (1960) \, Self-portrait (1959). The Portrait of Elba (1936) is extraordinary\, Ligabue's first painting dedicated to taking pictures of others\, in this case a little girl who died to console her mother.\n\n \n In Sorrento\, on display\, there are 15 of his intense bronze sculptures made from the original Po clay that the artist chewed for a long time to make it ductile.\n\nFrom August 5th to September 30th\nMonday-Friday 10am-1pm / 5pm-8pm\nSaturday\, Sunday and holidays 10am-1pm / 5pm-9pm\n\nFrom October 1st to November 16th\nMonday-Friday 10am-1pm / 4pm-7pm\nSaturday\, Sunday and holidays 10am-1pm / 4pm-8pm\n(The cash desk closes an hour early).\nENTRANCE\nFull ticket 10 euros\nReduced 7 euros for groups of at least 10 people\nFree up to 12 years\nAudio guide included
