The citrus fruit exhibition

Tomorrow, March 20, at 11 am, the citrus fruit exhibition entitled “Sant’Antonino dei giardinieri” will be inaugurated at Villa Fiorentino, organized by the Sorrento Gardenclub in collaboration with the Sorrento Foundation, as part of the celebrations promoted by the Municipality of Sorrento and the Archdiocese of Sorrento-Castellammare di Stabia, for the 14th centenary of the death of Sant’Antonino Abate, and the hundredth anniversary of the elevation to Pontifical Basilica of the church named after him. The exhibition will explore the roots and peasant tradition, linked to the cultivation of citrus fruits, which for decades has been one of the main activities for the city’s economy.
